Since 1973, the Ledbetter family has built Vino Farms into a multigenerational business focused on producing high-quality sustainably-farmed winegrapes. This focus on sustainability is realized through their relationship to the communities and the environment in which they farm, through their employees and through their industry leadership.
The Bee Better Certification promotes pollinator habitat. From a pest management perspective, a biodiverse farm is a more stable farm, with fewer pest issues that are often controlled by beneficial organisms. Even though pollinators are not needed for winegrape production, they often occupy the same habitat as beneficial organisms, so by preserving and promoting pollinators we are positively impacting our beneficial population on our farm. We hope to encourage others to participate in the BBC to further diversify our farming region.
